Bracken Cottage
Mountain Cottage
Named for the nearby rugged and pristine Wadbilliga wilderness, Mountain Cottage is a retreat like few others. Built from mud-brick, it stays cool in the summer and absorbs the winter sun.
Mountain Cottage sits at the high point of Rock Lily’s 100-acre bush block, looking northwest into Wadbilliga National Park. It’s ideally suited for a couple wanting time away from the rush of real-life and to retreat into the bush at a sustainably-managed property. It has a dog-friendly fenced yard.
You can meet the property’s dogs, fire up the wood heater, and sit back with a book while looking out at the mountains to the north, or get out and active in the Bega Valley!
Bracken Cottage
The Australian Bracken Fern — Pteridium esculentum — an edible bush food endemic to Australia and New Zealand lends Bracken Cottage its name. Bracken Cottage is a two-bedroom mud-brick cottage located on Rock Lily’s 100-acre bush block. Views are to the north and northwest over the eucalypt forest that covers most of the property.
Suitable for everyone from couples to a family or groups who want a base for rural adventure or a spot to gather and escape the city on a sustainably-managed property, it has a dog-friendly fenced yard.
Stays in Bracken Cottage are for relaxing, meeting our dogs, enjoying the wood heater if it’s chilly, and working through a book while looking out at the mountains.
